The sun appeared for a lengthy performance today as we celebrate the summer solstice. Not only does June 21st mark the official beginning of summer, but bringing with it these happy tomatoes. My tiny back deck allows me just enough space to fill it with containers of green. While keeping their soil moist during Chicago heat can prove frustrating, there is nothing better than cozying up amidst an urban garden, forgetting about the concrete whitewashed earth below.

How the garden grows
The sun appeared for a lengthy performance today as we celebrate the summer solstice. Not only does June 21st mark the official beginning of summer, but bringing with it these happy tomatoes.
